About This Role

<p><i>The Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) is looking for an experienced Investment Director – Growth to join our growth investment team and help scale the next generation of Danish &amp; European technology leaders.</i></p> <p><strong>Our purpose – scaling the companies that shape tomorrow</strong></p> <p>EIFO is Denmark’s sovereign investment fund, providing long-term capital to startups, scaleups, and growth stage companies. This role sits in Direct Venture &amp; Growth, which deploys significant capital into high potential scaleups with proven traction and global ambitions. We invest across sectors, while life science remains the primary vertical on the venture side.</p> <p>We work closely with founders, leadership teams, and co-investors to support governance, international expansion, and strategic decision making. To bolster our senior capacity, we are now seeking an Investment Director who can manage major transactions and represent EIFO in high stakes boardrooms.</p> <p><strong>Your new role</strong></p> <p>As Investment Director – Growth, you will identify, evaluate, structure, and execute EIFO’s larger growth investments — typically Series B+ and beyond. You will play a central role in shaping EIFO’s growth strategy, supporting portfolio companies at board level, and ensuring disciplined capital allocation.</p> <p>You will collaborate across EIFO’s investment tracks and engage with Danish and international founders, executives, and investors.</p> <p>Your key responsibilities in this role can be grouped into four sections:</p> <p><strong>1) Investment &amp; capital allocation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead and own major growth investments from sourcing to closing.</li> <li>Structure minority positions with robust governance and downside protection.</li> <li>Underwrite scale risks across execution, organisation, markets, and capital structure.</li> <li>Develop and maintain advanced financial models (Excel proficiency required).</li> </ul> <p><strong>2) Board work &amp; value creation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Represent EIFO as a board member or active observer.</li> <li>Support CEOs and leadership teams with: <ul> <li>Internationalisation strategies</li> <li>Governance and reporting</li> <li>Capital planning and longterm financing</li> </ul> </li> <li>Facilitate clear, constructive discussions on performance, strategy, and leadership.</li> </ul> <p><strong>3) Portfolio &amp; exit</strong></p> <ul> <li>Monitor growth stage portfolio companies and key value drivers.</li> <li>Assess exit scenarios (M&amp;A, IPOs, secondaries).</li> <li>Contribute to disciplined capital recycling.</li> </ul> <p><strong>4) Strategic development</strong></p> <ul> <li>Codevelop EIFO’s growth investment model.</li> <li>Ensure smooth transitions from early stage to growth stage investment tracks.</li> <li>Enhance EIFO’s role as a long-term institutional growth partner.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who you are</strong></p> <p>You have deep experience in growth investi...
