CFO – Private Equity-Backed CPG Company

This is a significant opportunity for a seasoned financial executive to lead the financial strategy and operations of a high-growth Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company, backed by a prominent Private Equity firm. The incoming Chief Financial Officer will play a critical role in driving value creation, optimizing financial performance, and shaping the future trajectory of the business within a dynamic ownership structure.

The successful candidate will join a Confidential Private Equity Portfolio Company operating in the CPG sector, recognized for its market position and growth potential. This C-suite role demands a leader who can navigate the complexities of a private equity environment, balancing operational rigor with strategic foresight to achieve aggressive growth targets and deliver investor returns.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning:* Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives and the Private Equity sponsor’s value creation plan. Lead annual budgeting, long-range financial planning, and forecasting processes.

Financial Operations & Control:* Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and audit functions. Ensure robust financial controls, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the integrity of financial reporting.

Performance Management & Analysis:* Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to the Board of Directors and the Private Equity firm, highlighting performance drivers, risks, and opportunities. Identify and implement initiatives to enhance profitability, optimize working capital, and improve cash flow.

Stakeholder Management:* Act as a primary financial liaison with the Private Equity ownership, managing reporting requirements, contributing to board discussions, and providing transparent financial communication.

Strategic Initiatives:* Support strategic initiatives such as potential M&A activities, capital allocation decisions, and market expansion, providing financial due diligence and integration planning where necessary.

Team Leadership:* Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
