This represents a significant opportunity for an experienced private equity professional to play a pivotal role in the firm's investment strategy and value creation initiatives within the active Japanese market. The team comprises seasoned professionals with extensive experience in investment management, operations, and corporate finance.

Key Responsibilities:

The Director will be instrumental across the entire private equity investment lifecycle. Core responsibilities include:

Deal Sourcing & Origination:* Proactively identify and screen potential investment opportunities within the Japanese market, building and maintaining relationships with key market participants, intermediaries, and corporate executives.

Due Diligence & Evaluation:* Lead comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, market research, commercial assessment, and operational reviews. Oversee contributions from junior team members and external advisors.

Transaction Execution:* Structure, negotiate, and execute complex private equity transactions, working closely with legal counsel, financial advisors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful deal closure.

Portfolio Management:* Drive value creation initiatives within portfolio companies. This involves actively engaging with management teams, providing strategic guidance, identifying operational improvements, and supporting growth strategies.

Exit Strategies:* Develop and implement effective exit strategies for portfolio investments, maximizing returns for the fund and its investors.

Team Leadership:* Mentor and develop junior investment professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

Market Intelligence:* Stay abreast of market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments relevant to private equity investments in Japan.

Location & Compensation:

This position is based in Tokyo, Japan. A highly competitive compensation package, commensurate with the seniority of the role and the candidate's experience, will be offered.
