A confidential infrastructure fund, operating as a specialist private equity firm, is seeking an accomplished Investment Director to lead and expand its investment activities across the Nordics and Germany. This is a pivotal role for a seasoned professional to significantly contribute to the fund’s regional strategy, originating and executing complex infrastructure transactions within a focused and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities:
The Investment Director will assume comprehensive responsibilities across the investment lifecycle, with a particular focus on the Nordics and Germany:
Deal Sourcing & Origination:* Proactively identify and cultivate new infrastructure investment opportunities, building relationships with developers, corporates, and advisors in the target regions.
Transaction Leadership:* Lead and manage all aspects of transaction execution, from initial screening and detailed financial modeling to valuation, due diligence, and negotiation of investment terms.
Financial Analysis:* Direct the development of sophisticated financial models, conducting thorough risk assessments and return analyses for potential investments.
Due Diligence Management:* Oversee and coordinate external advisors (legal, technical, commercial) during the due diligence process, ensuring comprehensive risk identification and mitigation.
Portfolio Management Contribution:* Support the active management and value creation initiatives for portfolio companies, potentially taking board observer or director roles.
Market Intelligence:* Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify sector trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory developments relevant to infrastructure investing in the Nordics and Germany.
Team Development:* Mentor and guide junior investment professionals, fostering their analytical and transaction management skills.
Investment Committee Preparation:* Prepare and present detailed investment proposals to the Investment Committee, providing clear recommendations and justifications.
Location & Compensation:
This position is based in Germany, with regular travel expected across the Nordics and Germany to manage investment opportunities and portfolio assets.
