Head of Capital Raising - Private Equity
A significant opportunity exists to lead capital raising efforts for a prominent alternatives investment platform, specifically focusing on its Private Equity offerings. This Head of Capital Raising role is critical in driving the growth and expansion of the firm's investor base and assets under management.
Our client is a confidential alternatives investment platform with a strong track record across various asset classes. This executive position will be dedicated to advancing their Private Equity capabilities, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future growth trajectory of the firm within this asset class.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Development and Execution:* Design, implement, and refine comprehensive capital raising strategies for new and existing Private Equity funds. This includes setting ambitious fundraising targets, developing compelling marketing materials, and defining targeted investor outreach plans.
Investor Cultivation and Relations:* Identify, engage, and cultivate lasting relationships with a diverse range of institutional investors globally. This encompasses pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, and other sophisticated capital allocators. Manage ongoing communications, reporting, and investor queries to ensure strong investor retention and satisfaction.
Fundraising Leadership:* Lead all aspects of fundraising cycles from initial investor engagement through to successful close. This involves effectively presenting investment opportunities, negotiating terms, coordinating thorough due diligence processes, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Product Articulation:* Work closely with the Private Equity investment teams to gain a deep understanding of investment strategies, portfolio construction, and performance. Effectively translate complex investment concepts into clear, concise, and persuasive narratives for prospective and existing investors.
Market Intelligence:* Continuously monitor global market trends, competitor activity, and investor preferences within the Private Equity landscape. Utilize this intelligence to inform fundraising strategies, identify new opportunities, and contribute to product development discussions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:* Collaborate with internal legal, compliance, operations, and marketing teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant fundraising processes.
Executive Reporting:* Provide regular, comprehensive updates and strategic insights to the executive leadership on fundraising progress, market conditions, investor feedback, and pipeline management.
