Associate, Private Equity Investment, Capital Partners

CLSA Capital Partners is seeking an Associate for its Private Equity Investment team in Hong Kong, focusing on growth-stage private equity investments across the Pan-Asia region with a particular emphasis on Greater China industrial development. The role spans both USD and RMB deals in targeted sectors, making it ideal for candidates with relevant regional and deal-stage experience.

As an Associate, you will collaborate with the team to identify attractive investment targets in the Pan-Asia region, with a focus on Greater China industrial development. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough due diligence on potential investments — encompassing company research, competitive analysis, corporate structure assessment, regulatory trends, and financial analysis — as well as building financial models and performing valuation analyses for target companies. You will prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee, support the structuring and negotiation of legal documentation, and monitor portfolio company performance post-investment.

The role requires expertise in specific sectors, particularly General Industrial Emerging Technologies, New Energy and Advanced Manufacturing, or Healthcare and Advanced Technologies.

Requirements: Strong academic background from a reputable university; 3-8 years of experience in growth-stage private equity investment or investment banking; experience with Greater China growth PE transactions and deal sourcing is a significant plus; excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese; strong market research, financial modelling, and analytical capabilities; ability to work independently and collaboratively. Less experienced candidates may be considered for an Analyst role.
