About This Role
Brookfield seeks a Director, Finance, a C-suite level executive, to play a pivotal role in the financial stewardship and strategic growth of its Private Equity platform. This is a significant opportunity for a seasoned finance leader to directly influence investment performance and investor confidence within a globally recognized alternative asset manager.
As a key member of the Private Equity leadership team, the Director, Finance will oversee comprehensive financial management functions, ensuring robust reporting, controls, and strategic financial insights for Brookfield's substantial private equity investments. This role demands a professional with deep expertise in the intricacies of fund finance and operations specifically within the private equity asset class.
Key responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting & Oversight:* Direct the preparation and review of comprehensive financial statements, investor reports, and regulatory filings for private equity funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Fund Administration Leadership:* Oversee all aspects of fund administration, including capital calls, distributions, fee calculations, and partnership accounting, maintaining integrity and efficiency.
Treasury & Liquidity Management:* Manage cash flows, liquidity, and banking relationships for private equity funds and their underlying portfolio investments.
Tax Strategy & Compliance:* Formulate and execute tax strategies, ensuring adherence to domestic and international tax regulations and optimizing fund structures.
Investment Support & Analysis:* Provide critical financial analysis, valuation support, and due diligence assistance for investment and divestment activities, collaborating closely with investment teams.
Internal Controls & Process Enhancement:* Establish and maintain a robust internal control framework, identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate financial risk.
Team Leadership & Development:* Cultivate and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering professional growth and a culture of excellence aligned with Brookfield's standards.
Strategic Financial Input:* Contribute to the strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the private equity platform, informing key business decisions.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in private equity fund finance, demonstrating a track record of leadership in complex financial environments. Deep technical expertise in GAAP/IFRS, tax, and fund structures is essential, alongside proven capabilities in strategic financial management.
