(Senior) Managing Director – Buy & Build | Value Creation | Portfolio Management

As (Senior) Managing Director you are the key actor in the business model — the perfect combination of PE investor and operational entrepreneur. You take end-to-end responsibility for 2–4 platform investments from closing to exit, serving as the single point of contact for management, partners, and investors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Platform ownership: Define platform strategy, recruit group management, and drive key value creation levers

- Buy & Build: Develop and manage acquisition strategy

- Value Creation: Orchestrate the full AURELIUS platform (Operations Task Force, Finance Task Force, Digital Factory, Recruiting) for maximum impact

- Exit: Manage the road-to-exit from strategic preparation through to sale

- New platforms: Support the investment team with strategy and commercial due diligence, and help structure optimal financing arrangements

Your Profile:

- Proven operational track record: Several years as general manager/CEO in the mid-market with P&L responsibility in the high double-digit to triple-digit EUR million range, with demonstrated value creation and/or buy-and-build experience

- M&A/PE exposure: Relevant M&A experience, ideally in small/mid-cap PE (Operating Partner, Portfolio CEO, or Investment Director); understanding of hold period, leverage, and exit mechanics

- Strategic and conceptual strength, ideally supplemented by experience at a leading strategy consultancy
