(Senior) Manager M&A

AURELIUS Wachstumskapital is actively building a buy-and-build platform in the garden and landscaping sector, currently comprising eleven portfolio companies with over 750 employees. The firm is seeking a Senior Manager M&A to serve as Deal Captain on the investment team, taking full ownership of transactions from initial outreach through structuring, due diligence, and closing.

The role involves driving the buy-and-build strategy in close collaboration with the portfolio CEO and AURELIUS Wachstumskapital investors. Responsibilities include identifying and evaluating M&A targets, coordinating commercial, financial, and legal due diligence workstreams, building robust financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), and preparing investment committee materials and banker presentations for acquisition financing. The successful candidate will also support integration of new add-on acquisitions.

The ideal candidate brings several years of M&A experience in the midmarket, ideally with demonstrated track record as Deal Captain across multiple transactions per year. Experience in private equity, investment banking, audit, or management consulting is highly valued. Strong process management, analytical skills, and financial modeling capabilities are essential. The role requires travel to potential targets and existing portfolio companies.
