Investment Manager

AOB Invest GmbH is a Munich-based single-family office pursuing a broad, endowment-style investment strategy across private equity, hedge funds, infrastructure, listed equities, commodities, real estate, and direct investments. The office is simultaneously building a dedicated late-stage venture investment track with potential to broaden beyond the family office itself over time.

The environment is lean, entrepreneurial, and international, operating with high standards, low bureaucracy, and a strong bias toward ownership and execution.

The Investment Manager is a core member of the investment team, responsible for the full investment lifecycle — from strategy development and opportunity sourcing through due diligence, execution, and ongoing portfolio oversight. The role requires genuine range across public and private markets, fund investments and direct deals, portfolio construction and process buildout.

Key responsibilities:

- Support development and continuous refinement of the overall investment strategy across asset classes, geographies, and time horizons, translating strategic considerations into structured, decision-ready materials for management

- Conduct deep-dive research and market analysis on new and existing asset classes including venture investments (direct), public equities, hedge funds, private equity, and real estate

- Lead due diligence on investment opportunities across asset classes — fundamental analysis, market assessment, valuation, and risk evaluation

- Manage portfolio monitoring and reporting for existing investments across all asset classes

- Build and maintain investment processes, documentation, and infrastructure for the growing platform

- Operate with a high degree of independence, translating analysis into clear recommendations for the Managing Director

The successful candidate combines investment judgment with a builder's mentality, comfortable both shaping long-term strategy and executing within a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment. Structured thinking, ownership of outcomes, and ability to cover both fund investments (PE, hedge funds) and direct deals are essential.
