About This Role

Our client, an established private equity firm with a strong investment track record in the DACH region, is seeking an Investment Associate to join their team in Frankfurt. In this role, the successful candidate will support the team across all stages of the investment cycle, from deal origination and execution to portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain complex LBO and valuation models to evaluate potential investment opportunities

- Assist in the execution of transactions, including coordinating third-party advisors (legal, financial, commercial) and analyzing due diligence findings

- Prepare high-quality investment committee memoranda and presentations to support decision-making processes

- Conduct detailed industry research, market mapping, and competitive analysis to identify prospective target companies in the DACH region

- Support the monitoring of portfolio companies, assist in the implementation of strategic initiatives, and prepare regular performance reports

Requirements:

- Fluent German (mother tongue) and fluent English are mandatory

- 2–5 years of full-time experience in investment banking (M&A or Leveraged Finance) at a top-tier global investment bank (bulge bracket or elite boutique), or experience in mid-cap private equity

- Outstanding academic record (ideally top 10% of the graduating class) with a degree from a top-tier university or leading business school

- Advanced financial modeling skills (including LBO, DCF, and merger models) and solid understanding of corporate finance principles

- Strong analytical mindset, commercial judgment, and ability to perform under pressure within a highly collaborative team environment
