Windjammer Capital Fund VI focuses on control equity investments in middle-market businesses with leading positions in niche addressable markets that provide mission-critical products or services. The fund targets platform companies typically between $10m and $50m in operating profit, with a focus on advanced manufacturing, specialty distribution, and business services. They plan to partner with management teams in these areas to develop customized strategies for growth. The fund raised $1.3bn in capital commitments, exceeding its initial target of $1bn, with investors including private and public pensions, family offices, insurance companies, and asset managers. The fund has already raised and managed more than $3bn of capital and has completed more than 60 platform investments and 160 strategic add-ons throughout its history.
