About This Fund
WestBridge III is a £220 million lower mid-market private equity fund managed by WestBridge, a UK-based growth buyout firm focused on high-growth, owner-managed niche businesses headquartered in the United Kingdom. The fund held its final close at its hard cap in January 2026, attracting commitments from a large European wealth manager as cornerstone investor, the British Business Bank (£34 million), UK local authority pension funds, institutional investors, and global family offices. WestBridge III was oversubscribed and represents 140% of the capital raised in its predecessor, WestBridge II (£100 million), underscoring strong investor confidence in the WestBridge platform.
WestBridge deploys an 'attribute-led' investment strategy targeting UK-headquartered companies with strong organic and acquisition-led growth potential in niche, defensible markets. The fund targets a gross multiple on invested capital (MOIC) of 5x, supporting portfolio companies through hands-on operational value creation, management team development, and bolt-on acquisition execution. WestBridge III had already deployed approximately 40% of its committed capital at the time of final close, with four confirmed portfolio companies: Tryzens (retail technology), Survey Solutions, Causeway Securities, and KOTO.
WestBridge II, the predecessor fund raised at £100 million, has delivered exceptional performance with a 4.4x gross MOIC and is expected to reach 6.5x following the announced sale of APEM Group. The firm has reported approximately 30% uplift on invested capital across its current portfolio, a track record that underpinned strong investor re-ups for Fund III. Capstone Partners served as placement agent for the fundraise; legal counsel was provided by Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
