About This Fund
Varsity, a new early-stage VC fund based in Paris, plans to invest in roughly 30 startups in Europe with a target investment range of €1 million to €5 million. The fund intends to focus on finance, health, enterprise software, and climate startups, without having a specific vertical in mind. Varsity has already raised €70 million for its first fund, and aims to raise up to €150 million for Varsity I. The fund's limited partners include French public bank Bpifrance, MACSF, Sogecap, and Elevation Capital Partners. The founding members have experience in the finance and VC industries and have established platforms, such as an email newsletter for tech startups and a podcast focused on successful tech startups, which they plan to leverage to identify investment opportunities.
