About This Fund
The Resolute III Continuation Fund, L.P. is TJC LP's second GP-led multi-asset continuation vehicle, closed at approximately $2.1 billion on October 1, 2024, and led by AlpInvest Partners (a Carlyle Group subsidiary) as the anchor secondary buyer. The fund was formed to transfer five portfolio companies from The Resolute Fund III, L.P. (a 2013-vintage, approximately $3.2 billion fund) and one asset jointly held with The Resolute Fund IV, L.P. into a new vehicle, extending the firm's holding period and providing exit optionality to existing limited partners. Latham & Watkins served as legal counsel. SEC Form D for the fund was filed on September 19, 2024.
TJC LP (formerly known as The Jordan Company) is a New York-based middle market private equity firm with approximately $31.4 billion in assets under management as of June 2024 and a track record spanning more than four decades. The firm invests in North American-focused businesses across healthcare, business services, aerospace and defense, and industrial sectors. The Resolute Fund series constitutes TJC's flagship buyout fund family. Named portfolio companies held in the continuation vehicle include Gulfstream Services (energy services), Young Innovations (medical supplies distribution), and CFS Brands (plastic containers and packaging), among others.
At $2.1 billion, the Resolute III Continuation Fund is one of the larger multi-asset GP-led continuation vehicles completed in 2024, reflecting robust LP appetite for exposure to TJC's proven portfolio assets. The oversubscribed close with institutional secondary buyers including AlpInvest demonstrates TJC's ability to attract capital at scale while providing liquidity to legacy fund limited partners. The vehicle exemplifies the institutionalization of GP-led secondaries as a capital management tool for established middle market managers navigating portfolio lifecycle transitions.
