About This Fund
The Sriwijaya Capital inaugural fund is the debut private equity vehicle of Sriwijaya Capital, a Southeast Asia-focused firm headquartered in Singapore and Jakarta and founded by Arsjad Rasjid, former chairman of Kadin (the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce) and co-chairman of the B20 under the Indonesian G20 presidency. The fund commenced fundraising in 2024 and by early 2025 had secured more than USD 200 million in commitments against a hard cap target of USD 300 million, with the remainder expected to close within twelve months. The firm has simultaneously announced a strategic alliance with Abu Dhabi-based BlueFive Capital to facilitate capital flows between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Southeast Asia, and signed a memorandum of understanding with Danantara, Indonesia's newly established state investment platform.
The fund pursues a growth equity strategy focused on profitable, growth-stage companies across Indonesia and broader Southeast Asia. Sriwijaya targets minority and majority stakes in family-owned businesses undergoing succession transitions and in companies seeking professionalisation of operations for regional expansion. Core investment sectors include healthcare, energy transition, consumer goods and services, business services and industrials. Deal sizes are expected to range from USD 20 million to USD 60 million per company, with enterprises positioned for cross-border scaling across the ASEAN region. The fund's geographic focus reflects Indonesia's structural advantages: a population of over 270 million, rapid middle-class expansion, and a government commitment to accelerating the energy transition and private sector investment.
Sriwijaya Capital benefits from its founder's deep networks across Indonesian government, business and international capital markets. Hogan Lovells provided legal counsel on the launch of the inaugural fund. The firm is backed by institutional investors and family offices from Southeast Asia and the Middle East. With the strategic alliance with BlueFive Capital, Sriwijaya is establishing a South-to-South investment corridor, positioning itself as a bridge between Gulf capital and high-growth ASEAN opportunities at the start of a multi-decade regional growth cycle.
