About This Fund
Singular Fund II is the second flagship venture capital vehicle of Singular, a Paris-based firm founded in 2020 by Jeremy Uzan and Raffi Kamber, both previously partners at Alven Capital. The fund closed at €400 million in December 2023 — surpassing its original €350 million target and bringing total capital raised by the firm since inception to over €600 million across two flagship funds and a three-year history. The fund attracted a broadly institutional LP base including Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, Mubadala Investment Company, Bpifrance, Vintage Investment Partners, and AXA Venture Partners, alongside US and European family offices. Geographically, the firm maintains offices in Paris and London, anchoring its pan-European positioning across the two largest European startup ecosystems.
Singular Fund II pursues early-stage venture investments at the Series A with flexibility from Seed to Series B, writing checks of €1 million to €25 million and leading rounds when possible. The fund is explicitly generalist — it imposes no sector or country restrictions within Europe — positioning itself as a pan-European counterpart to the scale of Index Ventures and Accel. In practice, the portfolio spans artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, developer tools, data infrastructure, fintech, healthtech, climate-tech, tech-bio, industrial tech, gaming, consumer, and vertical SaaS, with roughly one-third of companies based in France and the remainder distributed across ten or more European countries. The generalist mandate reflects the founders' conviction that the most defining European companies of the next decade will emerge from diverse sectors and markets rather than a single concentrated theme.
Singular Fund I (€225M, 2020) built a 23-company portfolio across 10 countries, including Homa Games, Tinybird, Algolia, Qonto, Moka.care, Resilience, Fairmat, Aikido Security, and Synthflow AI. At the time of Fund II's close in December 2023, four companies had already been backed from the new vehicle, including Osium AI (French new-materials AI), Thynk (hospitality CRM), and Continuum Industries (Scottish industrial AI). The ability to exceed the Fund II target by more than 14% — and to secure commitments from pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and large family offices with at least $10 billion in AUM — reflects the firm's rapid institutional credibility-building within just three years of operation and validates its positioning as a scale pan-European generalist at the early stage.
