About This Fund
SE Ventures Fund II is a €500 million corporate venture capital fund managed by SE Ventures, the standalone venture arm of Schneider Electric SE, the French multinational specializing in energy management and industrial automation. The fund was announced in November 2022 and began deploying capital from January 2023 (PitchBook ID: 22931-92F), following SE Ventures Fund I, a €500 million vehicle launched in 2018. Together, the two funds represent over €1 billion in committed corporate venture capital, positioning SE Ventures as one of the largest CVC programs globally in the climate-technology and industrial software space. The managing team operates as a standalone fund with offices in Menlo Park, Boston, France, India, Singapore, and Hong Kong, led by Global Managing Partner Amit Chaturvedy with General Partners Grant Allen and Varun Jain.
Fund II targets early-to-growth-stage companies — principally Series A and Series B rounds, with selective Seed and Growth investments — at the intersection of climate technology, industrial software, energy efficiency, advanced manufacturing, and grid infrastructure. The fund invests globally, with North America representing over half the portfolio. Schneider Electric SE is the sole limited partner; there are no external LPs. Portfolio companies benefit from commercial acceleration through Schneider Electric's global customer base across utilities, data centers, industrial facilities, and commercial buildings — a network spanning 150 countries and more than 150,000 enterprise customers — offering a strategic advantage beyond financial capital alone.
As of mid-2026, SE Ventures Fund II's portfolio includes Prisma Photonics (Series C, ~US$20M, grid fiber monitoring), Higharc (Series B, US$53M, homebuilding cloud), Claroty (Series F, US$100M, OT cybersecurity), Aerem Solutions (Series A-II, US$15M, industrial energy), Forerunner (Series B, US$26.3M), SmartD Technologies (Series A-II, ~US$11M, power electronics), and AlpSemi (€17M, power semiconductors). The fund remains in active deployment with announced investments through June 2026, maintaining a consistent pace aligned with Schneider Electric's broader net-zero industrial technology mandate.
