About This Fund
The fund, PATRIZIA Sustainable Communities, is focused on impact investing in the social and affordable housing sector in Europe. It has secured equity commitments from 10 institutional investors and aims to create a pan-European portfolio of affordable and social housing. The fund targets investments in major metropolitan areas in western Europe, with investments in Ireland and the UK already underway. The strategy aims to house over 7,500 individuals in social and affordable accommodation, develop net zero buildings, and invest in over 25 European cities to tackle loneliness. The fund aims to invest over two-thirds of its assets under management in affordable and social housing, alongside wider investments in alternative living, social infrastructure, and community space. The target geographies for investment include the UK, Ireland, Benelux, France, Germany, Spain, and the Nordics. The fund has three impact themes - affordable housing, green real estate, and inclusion and connectivity - and is aligned to eight of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
