iCON Infrastructure Partners VI

iCON Infrastructure Partners VI — USD 3.6B closed-ended infrastructure equity fund (2022) targeting mid-market assets across Europe and North America.

About This Fund

iCON Infrastructure Partners VI (iCON VI) is a closed-ended infrastructure equity fund managed by iCON Infrastructure Partners LLP, an independent London-based firm founded in 2011 following a spin-out from Deutsche Bank, where the team was originally formed in 2004. iCON VI represents the firm's sixth flagship fund and was launched and completed in a single first-and-final closing in June 2022, raising USD 3.6 billion — exceeding its original USD 3.0 billion target — within approximately three months of fundraising commencement. The fund was oversubscribed, reflecting strong institutional demand from a global LP base that includes pension funds, asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, and insurance companies across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia.

iCON VI targets mid-sized, private infrastructure businesses across essential sectors including energy and utilities, environmental infrastructure, transportation, telecommunications, and social and healthcare infrastructure in Europe and North America. The fund pursues equity-only investments, seeking controlling or significant minority positions in established, cash-generating businesses with long-term contracted or regulated revenue streams. iCON Infrastructure applies a core-plus strategy, balancing stable yield-generating assets with selective value-creation opportunities in adjacent subsectors. As an active owner, the firm engages closely with management teams and portfolio companies to drive operational improvements and ESG outcomes over multi-year holding periods.

iCON Infrastructure has raised more than USD 12 billion across seven flagship funds since inception, with a portfolio spanning over 52 companies and 19 realised investments to date. The firm employs more than 80 professionals across offices in London, New York, Paris, and Berlin. Prior to iCON VI, the firm's fifth fund (iCON Infrastructure Partners V) closed at USD 1.9 billion in March 2020. iCON is a PRI signatory since 2012 and established a formal Health and Safety Committee in 2016. With iCON VII subsequently raising USD 3.7 billion, iCON VI represents an important milestone in the firm's evolution as one of Europe's leading mid-market infrastructure managers.
