About This Fund
EQT Infrastructure VI is a flagship value-add infrastructure fund managed by EQT Group, one of the world's leading alternative asset managers with headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. The fund held its final close on March 28, 2025, raising EUR 21.5 billion at its hard cap — making it the sixth vintage in EQT's infrastructure series and representing a 35 percent increase over its predecessor, EQT Infrastructure V, which closed at EUR 15.7 billion in November 2021. Approximately 70 percent of capital was committed by existing investors from the EQT infrastructure fund series, spanning pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers, insurance companies, and an increasing proportion of private wealth capital from across the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and the Nordic region.
EQT Infrastructure VI deploys an active value-creation approach — what EQT terms its "industrial approach" — to identify and transform mature infrastructure businesses across five primary sectors: digital infrastructure (fiber networks, data centers, towers), energy generation and storage including decarbonization and electrification, resource efficiency and the circular economy, social infrastructure (hospitals, schools, regulated utilities), and transportation and logistics. The fund invests predominantly in Europe and North America, with additional flexibility to invest in Asia Pacific, targeting mid-to-large assets where EQT's operational expertise, sustainability capabilities, and global network can create measurable value. As of the announcement date, the fund was approximately 45–50 percent committed with ten closed investments and two further transactions in exclusive negotiations.
