About This Fund
CORE Industrial Partners Fund III is the third flagship vehicle of CORE Industrial Partners, a Chicago-headquartered private equity firm exclusively focused on acquiring and growing industrial manufacturing and technology businesses across the United States. The fund held its final close in February 2024 at $685 million—exceeding its target—and was raised simultaneously with CORE Industrial Services Fund I ($202 million), bringing total combined capital for the two new strategies to $887 million. In the five years leading up to this close, CORE had raised more than $1.58 billion in total LP commitments dedicated to the industrial sector, cementing its position as one of the most specialised lower mid-market industrial PE firms in North America.
Fund III targets control acquisitions of US-based manufacturing and industrial technology companies, with a particular focus on precision manufacturing, engineered components, industrial automation, additive manufacturing and specialty materials. The fund acquires businesses with $5–50 million in EBITDA, applying CORE's proprietary value-creation methodology—which combines operational improvements, talent upgrades and strategic add-on acquisitions—to build market-leading industrial platforms. CORE's dedicated team of operating partners and industrial executives works alongside management to accelerate organic growth and execute bolt-on M&A.
The firm's singular focus on North American industrials differentiates it from generalist buyout funds and enables deeper sourcing of proprietary deal flow through industry relationships built over more than a decade. CORE's track record in industrial technology—including investments in advanced manufacturing, 3D printing and aerospace components—positions Fund III as a primary vehicle for institutional investors seeking concentrated exposure to the long-term reindustrialisation and onshoring trends reshaping North American manufacturing.
