Allianz Asia Pacific Secured Lending Fund

Allianz Asia Pacific Secured Lending Fund: $610M private credit fund by AllianzGI providing senior secured lending to Asia Pacific middle market companies.

About This Fund

Allianz Asia Pacific Secured Lending Fund is a private credit fund managed by Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI), the asset management arm of Allianz Group, one of the world's largest financial services groups with over $680 billion in assets under management. The fund represents the second vehicle in AllianzGI's Asia Pacific private credit series, targeting secured senior lending opportunities across the Asia Pacific region excluding China.

The fund pursues a senior secured lending strategy focused on providing flexible credit solutions to middle market companies and growth-oriented businesses throughout Asia Pacific. The investment approach emphasizes downside protection through first-lien security packages, covenants, and careful credit selection. AllianzGI's Asia Private Credit platform—led by Head of Asia Private Credit Sumit Bhandari—provides deep regional expertise and origination networks across key markets including Australia, Southeast Asia, India, South Korea, and Japan, funding high-growth companies in need of alternative credit solutions.

The fund achieved its final close in December 2023 at $610 million (approximately €562 million), surpassing its original target. The fundraise attracted a diversified global investor base including pension funds, insurance companies, and sovereign wealth funds. The success of this vehicle prompted AllianzGI to launch a successor fund—Asia Pacific Secured Lending Fund III—which held its first close at $744 million in June 2026, reflecting continued strong institutional demand for Asia Pacific private credit exposure.
