About This Fund
ACV Capital AC Ventures Malaysia Southeast Asia Frontier Fund LP (also referred to as the Southeast Asia Frontier Fund, or SEAFF) is managed by ACV Capital Malaysia, the Kuala Lumpur-based arm of AC Ventures — one of Southeast Asia's leading early-stage venture capital firms with over US$500 million in AUM across its fund series. The fund was selected as one of eight fund managers under Malaysia's Dana Penjana Nasional (DPN) government fund-of-funds programme, combining government-backed capital from Penjana Kapital with strategic co-investors including Translink Capital, Vertex Force, and international institutional partners from South Korea and Taiwan.
The fund deploys capital into tech-enabled startups at Series A and Series B stages that demonstrate cross-border expansion potential across Southeast Asia. Thematic priorities include fintech, consumer technology, logistics, healthcare, automotive, and agriculture-food — with a strategic emphasis on bridging the Malaysian and Indonesian markets and enabling Malaysian startups to access Indonesia's large and growing economy. The fund is led by Managing Partner Hann Yeoh and operates from Kuala Lumpur, with close collaboration with the broader AC Ventures platform based in Jakarta.
Portfolio highlights include Carsome (ASEAN's leading used-car marketplace, confirmed unicorn), Xendit (Indonesian payments infrastructure, unicorn), and Food Market Hub (a B2B F&B procurement platform). The fund had deployed approximately RM 200 million (US$48 million) as of late 2021, targeting a total of RM 300 million (US$72 million) at final close. Confirmed limited partners include Dana Penjana Nasional (Malaysia Ministry of Finance fund-of-funds) and GrandTech, a Taiwan-based digital experience operator that also provides cloud optimization services to portfolio companies.
