The Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) is a statewide public retirement system that provides retirement, disability, and survivor benefits for employees of participating Texas municipalities. With over 900 participating cities, TMRS serves over 85,000 active members and over 47,000 retired members, making it one of the largest retirement systems in the state.
TMRS is committed to providing secure and sustainable retirement benefits and is run by a 9-member Board of Trustees, consisting of both elected and appointed members, who diligently oversee the management of the system to ensure its long-term stability and effectiveness.
