Remarkable Ventures Climate (RVC) is an early-stage venture capital fund dedicated to investing in climate tech companies from Seed through Series A rounds. The fund targets innovative startups decarbonizing enterprises and accelerating the transition to a low-carbon future, with a focus on key sectors including energy transition, climate fintech, built environment, mobility, manufacturing, and AgTech. Managed by Remarkable Ventures, RVC leverages over a decade of experience in early-stage investing to support founders through capital, mentorship, and a vast network of more than 1,000 experts. It both leads and co-invests in promising climate ventures, building on the parent firm's track record of backing over 600 founders whose companies have raised $2 billion and achieved $10 billion in market capitalization. Launched in 2023 as part of Remarkable Ventures' dual-fund strategy alongside a generalist fund, RVC emerged from the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator (ERA), founded in 2011 by Managing Partners Murat Aktihanoglu and Jonathan Axelrod. The fund secured anchor investment from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation under its Sustainability Investment Fund, highlighting its credibility in addressing global climate challenges through innovative technologies. ERA's extensive history, including investments in 95+ companies and support for 300+ via its accelerator, provides RVC with operational expertise and a proven model for nurturing startups from inception to scale. RVC's portfolio features standout climate companies such as BetterFleet, BoxPower, Camus Energy, Coolgradient, GridAstra, Neutreeno, SmarterSorting, and Torus, which recently raised $200 million for modular power plants. The firm recently led a Seed round in Lucend and maintains active involvement in portfolio growth, evidenced by 233 total investments across Remarkable Ventures. Recent deals include GridAstra (Seed VC, March 2025) and Evenergi (Series A, February 2025), demonstrating ongoing commitment to climate innovation. The team combines deep venture experience with climate-specific expertise, led by Managing Partners Murat Aktihanoglu and Jonathan Axelrod, alongside partners like Jeremy Harper and a roster of investment associates, operating partners, venture partners, and advisors. Climate advisors include luminaries such as Jacqueline Novogratz of Acumen, Limor Spector of GE Vernova, and David Romps from UC Berkeley, enhancing deal sourcing, due diligence, and founder support in sustainability and deep tech.
