Norfund

Norfund is the Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries, established in 1997 by the Norwegian Parliament. It is owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has the specific mandate to contribute to the sustainable commercial development of businesses in developing countries.

Norfund’s mission is to create jobs and improve lives by investing in businesses that drive sustainable development. They work to create profitable, responsible and sustainable investments, and build strong companies that operate in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.

With a team of approximately 100 employees, Norfund is based in Lysaker, Norway, and operates globally. Since its founding, Norfund has contributed to the economic growth and sustainable development in numerous developing countries through its investments and support of local businesses.
