Neva SGR is a venture capital firm established in 2020 as the venture capital arm of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, fully owned by the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center. The firm focuses on investing globally in innovative companies that address significant challenges across key sectors. Neva SGR aims to identify and empower new category leaders, connecting Italian entrepreneurs with the global venture capital ecosystem and facilitating the entry of international entrepreneurs into Italy's robust industrial and scientific landscape.

The firm was founded with the strategic objective of accelerating innovation and allowing the Intesa Sanpaolo Group to actively participate in shaping the future technological landscape. Mario Costantini, CEO and General Manager, played a pivotal role in establishing Neva SGR and leading the development and fundraising efforts for its initial funds. Neva SGR manages approximately €750 million across various funds, including Neva First, Neva First Italia, Neva II, Neva II Italia, and the Neva II – Parallelo Lombardia Fund, which often co-invest to maximize impact.

Neva SGR's portfolio showcases a diverse range of notable investments. These include Commonwealth Fusion Systems in climate tech, D-ORBIT and LEAF SPACE in aerospace for space logistics and ground segment services, and CLASSIQ for quantum algorithm design software. In digital transformation, they have backed companies like V-NOVA for advanced video compression, Cyberint (acquired by Check Point) and CORO for cybersecurity platforms, and X-FARM for digital agriculture. Life science investments feature TR1X and Kamau Therapeutics, focusing on allogeneic cell therapies and gene editing. The firm also supports Energy Dome, which develops industrial batteries for renewable energy storage.
