Nabtesco Technology Ventures is a corporate venture capital (CVC) firm established in 2018 by Japan's Nabtesco Corporation, an industrial machinery manufacturer. The firm operates with a EUR 75 million fund and is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. Its primary objective is to identify and invest in leading-edge industrial technology startups globally, fostering open innovation and exploring new technologies, applications, and business models that align with Nabtesco Corporation's strategic interests in motion control, robotics, transportation, and manufacturing.

The firm was launched in partnership with Emerald Technology Ventures, a deep tech venture capital firm also based in Zurich. This collaboration leverages Emerald's two decades of experience in industrial technology investment and its global reach, while providing portfolio companies with access to Nabtesco Group's extensive network, production technologies, and quality control expertise. Nabtesco Technology Ventures aims to support the sustainable growth of its parent company and enhance corporate value by continuously delivering advanced motion control technologies, products, and services through co-creation with entrepreneurial partners.

Nabtesco Technology Ventures invests primarily in areas such as robotics, motors, sensors, additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. Notable investments include Alva Industries, a Norwegian deep-tech company developing electric motors; Embotech, an innovator in autonomous driving solutions for industrial logistics; Hiboo, which focuses on data-driven solutions for industrial fleet management; DeepSea, specializing in maritime vessel performance optimization; and sewts, a company transforming robotics with human-like perception for deformable materials. Other portfolio companies include Sea Machines Robotics, Sensyn Robotics, FOSSA Systems, SpotLight, and Rhombus Energy Solutions.

The leadership team includes Hiroshi Nerima as Managing Partner, who also serves as an Executive Officer at Nabtesco Corporation. Katsuhiro Teramoto is the Director and Chairman of the Board at Nabtesco Corporation, and Gina Domanig is a Managing Partner at Emerald Technology Ventures, highlighting the collaborative leadership structure that combines corporate strategic vision with venture capital expertise.
