Look AI Ventures is a pre-Series A venture capital fund based in Prague, Czech Republic, dedicated to investing in early-stage artificial intelligence (AI) startups globally. The firm primarily focuses on European AI startups, seeking out companies with strong technical capabilities and scalable business models. Their investment strategy centers on identifying and nurturing disruptive AI solutions that address major markets, aiming to generate superior, long-term returns for their Limited Partners.

The firm's journey began with its subsidiary, AI Startup Incubator (AISI), founded in Prague in 2017 and operational by 2018. AISI established a network connecting AI startup founders with investors and other ecosystem players, refining its evaluation methodology and investing in early AI startups. Building on this foundation, Look AI Ventures (LAIV) fund was officially launched in Q4 2022, becoming the first VC fund in the Czech Republic exclusively dedicated to AI startups worldwide.

Look AI Ventures' portfolio includes a diverse range of AI-driven companies. Notable investments include Brickwise, a business/productivity software company; Surveily AI, focused on edge AI for industrial safety; Digicust, which automates customs processes with AI; Secjur, an AI-powered platform enhancing compliance for businesses; and Embodied AI, developing robotic systems for safe human-robot interaction. The firm also supports companies like Trackbar, which digitizes fitness equipment, and Visense, an error exploration system for industrial machinery.

The Look AI Ventures team comprises experienced managers, entrepreneurs, and experts in technology and artificial intelligence. Key team members include Managing Partner Martin Havlík, Partners Daniel Kunz, Pavel Rosendorf, and Alexander Brányik, and Partner & Chief Investment Officer Angelo Burgarello. Martin Dostál, Ph.D., serves as Partner & Chief Science Officer, bringing deep AI expertise to the firm's investment and support processes. The team works closely with Look AI Investments, the subsidiary managing LAIV's operations, to provide financial investment, business expertise, and access to a network of AI experts to their portfolio companies.
