International Finance Corporation (IFC)

The IFC – a member of the World Bank Group - is the largest global development institution focused exclusively on the private sector. IFC provides investment and advisory services that help businesses in the developing world meet the challenges of the global marketplace. Its investment and advisory services are flexible and can be tailored to a client’s specific needs, often brought together in innovative solutions that add value. IFC finances client firms directly and through intermediaries such as banks, leasing companies, housing finance institutions, and private equity funds. They have also established a separate, wholly owned subsidiary, IFC Asset Management Company, LLC. It will be the fund manager of a global equity fund to recapitalize banks, the IFC Capitalization Fund, and other third party capital.
