Essex County Council Pension Fund

Essex County Council Pension Fund is responsible for managing the pension fund for employees of Essex County Council and other local government organizations in the area. The fund invests in a wide range of assets and works with a variety of investment managers to ensure the long-term financial security of its members.

Essex Pension Fund administers the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for Essex County Council who are the administering authority, and also manage the Police Pension Schemes and Firefighters Pension Schemes in Essex.

It is one of the UK largest funds in the LGPS with over 55,000 actively contributing members and more than 700 participating employers, including Essex County Council, borough, district, town and parish councils, schools and academies, not for profit and charitable organisations.
