Earthstar Investments is a venture capital firm founded in 2022 as the investment arm of a Latin American family office. Headquartered in Rotterdam, Netherlands, with a secondary office in Mexico City, the firm backs bold, early-stage European technology companies addressing environmental and societal challenges.

The firm invests at pre-seed and seed stages, with the ability to follow on into Series A rounds. Earthstar focuses on impact-driven technology across transformative sectors including deep tech, food and agriculture technology, biotech, health tech, circular economy, advanced materials, and smart manufacturing. The firm is particularly committed to backing diverse founding teams and bridging European innovation with Latin American growth markets.

Led by Founding Partners Maria Tapia and Reka Gugan, Earthstar operates two investment vehicles: the main Earthstar Investments fund for direct and co-investments across Europe, and Earthstar Angels, a Dutch-focused angel fund created in partnership with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). Portfolio companies include Flouria, Extracellular, and Juicy Marbles.
