It operates through two primary subsidiaries: Crescent Petroleum, the Middle East's oldest private oil and gas company, and Crescent Enterprises, a conglomerate with diversified global operations and interests across multiple sectors.

The firm's investment focus, particularly through Crescent Enterprises' platforms CE-Invests and CE-Ventures, includes strategic investments in late-stage companies, private equity, and corporate venture capital in early- to late-stage high-growth companies and venture funds globally. The group is led by the Jafar family, with Hamid Jafar as Chairman, and Majid Jafar leading Crescent Petroleum, and Badr Jafar as CEO of Crescent Enterprises.
