CIv was founded in April 2023 by Patrick Maloney and Jeff Rosenthal. Patrick Maloney was previously the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Inspire energy Capital, which was sold to Royal Dutch Shell. A lifelong entrepreneur in the energy and technology spaces, Patrick is dedicated to building world-positive businesses that align profitability with purpose. Jeff Rosenthal is the cofounder of Summit, a company that organizes invitation-only events.
