Aspirity Partners is a next-generation pan-European private equity firm that specializes in growth buyouts and strategic minority investments. The firm focuses on partnering with European Financial Technology & Services (FTS) and Enterprise Technology & Connectivity Services (ETS) companies. They target asset-light businesses that provide mission-critical B2B solutions, capitalizing on long-term secular trends to accelerate value. Aspirity Partners typically invests between €50 million and €150 million in equity per transaction, targeting companies generally valued up to €500 million.

Founded in 2024, Aspirity Partners was established by Joseph O'Mara, who serves as the Managing Partner, and Ralph Choufani, a co-founding Partner. Joseph O'Mara brings over two decades of transatlantic private equity experience, while Ralph Choufani contributes more than a decade of complementary expertise in ETS and FTS across the European ecosystem. The firm was created to address a gap in the market for ambitious mid-market businesses in financial and enterprise technology that require partners with deep industry understanding. In November 2025, Aspirity Partners announced the final close of its inaugural fund, Aspirity Partners I, at over €875 million, which was significantly oversubscribed and reached its hard cap within six months of launch.

Aspirity Partners has begun building its portfolio with notable investments. In May 2026, the firm co-led a $175 million investment in Paymentology, a global issuing and payments processing platform. This investment marked Aspirity's first from its inaugural fund and aligns with its strategy of backing category-leading platforms in the payments sector. Paymentology focuses on addressing the limitations of legacy infrastructure in the issuing layer of the global payments market through its configurable, cloud-native platform.

The Aspirity team comprises experienced specialists with several decades of sector-relevant investment experience from leading private equity firms globally. Joseph O'Mara previously spent 14 years at Vitruvian Partners, and Ralph Choufani was a Partner at Abry Partners for 10 years.
